Playgroup Program
(Our 2-3 year old program)
Our "Funshine" Playgroup enables your child to interact socially with children and adults other than their families and daily caregivers. They learn about sharing and getting along with others while having fun! The children are exposed to a variety of art media such as paint, glue, crayons, magnets and play dough. The children also enjoy snack time together, listen to stories, and sing songs. This experience allows the opportunity to ease into a Nursery School setting. Our Playgroup teacher is also our Nursery teacher, which makes the transition that much easier.
Our Playgroup program is Wednesday from 10:00am-11:30am.
Our Playgroup is staffed by one teacher and one parent helper. Children must be at least 2 years old by December 1st of the registration year to enroll.

Nursery Program
(Our 3-4 year old program)
Sunshine’s Nursery class is a wonderful opportunity for your child to develop socially in preparation for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Class time consists of “personal choice time” which fosters independence by allowing each child to choose their own activities while the teachers provide guidance. “Circle time” promotes structure and routine. The children learn to listen, speak to a group and sit still while enjoying a variety of songs and stories pertinent to the day’s discussion. Both gross and fine motor skills are exercised through a variety of play and class activities. The teachers also focus largely upon the child using their “words” to communicate their wants and needs, which helps kids to share and interact with one another better. Personal hygiene and health-related issues are emphasized, such as handwashing and sneezing etiquette. Shapes and colors are a large part of our curriculum as well as letters and numbers, in preparation for our Pre-K program.
Our Nursery Program is Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am-11:30am.
Our Extended Nursery Program is Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 9:00am-11:30am.
Our Nursery class consists of one teacher and one teacher’s aide, both of whom are CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse and Prevention trained and certified. Children must be 3 years old by December 1st and MUST be toilet trained for the extended nursery class.

Pre-Kindergarten Program
(Our 4-5 year old program)
Our Pre-K Programs offers many first time educational experiences. The daily routine provides structure, guidance, and independence. Each class offers small group stations such as, Math, Art, Science, Letter and Number Recognition, Writing, Cutting, Gluing, etc. The complete alphabet is introduced, using both upper and lower case letters. Circle time is where the calendar, jobs and group discussions take place. The children then share a snack, before ending the class with a fun group game or experiment. The teacher provides two progress reports throughout the year to ensure your child is developing all of the necessary skills needed for kindergarten. The teacher consults with local kindergarten teachers to ensure your child is learning the most up-to-date skills required for their success in kindergarten. It is our personal goal to make Pre-K a fun, and educational first school experience.
Our teacher and teacher’s aide are CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse and Prevention trained and certified.
