Teaching Experience: 10 years A Little Bit About Me: Mrs. K lives in LeRoy with her husband and two daughters. She previously taught 2nd and 3rd grade in North Carolina and was a reading specialist in Arizona. Her family decided to move back to the area a few years ago to raise their daughters close to family. She loves to go on camping adventures with her family in their RV. She also loves running, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is also the board president at Sunshine Nursery School. She loves to share her passion for reading with her students and hopes to bring this to fruition with theme based play. |
Dawn Suriano, Nursery

Masters in Education Teaching Experience: 21 years A Little Bit About Me:Mrs. Dawn Suriano lives in her hometown of LeRoy, with her husband and four rescue cats. She has two “grown and flown” children who are Sunshine Nursery School alumni. While her children attended Sunshine, Dawn was an active board member. Prior to that, she taught 8 years at Caledonia-Mumford and Avon Central School District with a wide range of ages and learning styles. Mrs. Suriano continually proves to be an incredible asset to our school community, always striving to nurture the growth and development of our nursery students. |
Cassie Connolly, Pre-Kindergarten
Degree: Currently pursuing her teaching degree
Teaching Experience: She has been teaching Pre-K since 2015 and a Nursery teacher's aide since September 2023. A Little Bit About Me: Mrs. Connolly was born and raised in LeRoy. When she is not teaching, she loves to spend time with her family, going on camping adventures, reading, and spending time in her garden. She held a position on the board while her son attended Sunshine and his progress and love for the school, led her to apply for the Pre-K teacher position. She loves our preschooler's enthusiasm, motivation to learn, and sense of wonder. She encourages learning with hands on play, classroom experiments, field trips, and lots of fun activities to help prepare them for their upcoming learning adventures. |
